I recently read an article on fastcompany.com about wireless electricity. Imagine floating volts and amps filling the airwaves.
"You can drop any number of devices on the charging pad, and they will recharge -- wirelessly. No more tangle of power cables or jumble of charging stations. " Even tho this technology is in it's infant stages, just think about how it will affect the future. We are getting closer and closer to a futuristic "Minority Report" kinda lifestyle. Cars being propelled by electricity just like trains. Who knows? .... traveling at the speed of light might just be possible after all. Nicoli Tesla (best known for many revolutionary contributions in the field of electricity and magnetism) dream will soon become a reality. I don't even want to think about the health implications. We might be in for a big shock :)
